Jadran Split history

The Vaterpolski klub Jadran Split is a waterpolo club of Split, Croatia. Over the years the club has changed its name several times in Baluni, Hajduk, Koteks Jadran Jadran Slobodna Dalmacija.

In 1920 was founded the Pomorskog klub Balun, which changed its name to Jadran year after winning the championship of Yugoslavia in 1924. The Jadran is regularly at the top of the standings after the Second World War, with six titles. Thirty years later came back to win the national title in 1991, followed by two European Cups in 1992 and 1993 and lost LEN Cup final in 1998.
However, in the Croatian League club failed to win the title, preceded by other clubs like Jug, Mladost, POSK and Mornar.

But history of Jadran Split is not only history about waterpolo. Big rules have also swimming section.
